Belize Defense Force Soldiers with 1st Infantry Battalion, Company F, perform a medical evacuation while conducting a mock patrol under the observance of 30 Marines and sailors with Company F, 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment. The BDF jungle warfare training is being instructed to the Marines, who later this week will travel to the Belizean jungle near the Guatemalan border to put their classroom training to the test as part of Tradewinds 10, a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs directed, U.S. Southern Command sponsored annual exercise that is conducted with Caribbean Basin Partner Nations, designed to improve cooperation with the partner nations in responding to regional security threats.
