A multinational color guard comprised of U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Southern Command and a Honduran Army soldier present their national flags during the opening ceremony of the task force’s 2019 deployment June 21, 2019, at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. The ceremony marks the beginning of the SPMAGTF-SC deployment to Latin America and the Caribbean. The task force will conduct training and engineering projects hand-in-hand with partner nation military members in the region during their deployment that coincides with hurricane season. The task force is also on standby to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief in the event of a natural disasters or other emergencies in the region. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
