The U.S. Navy San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) and two Landing Craft, Air Cushioned hovercraft transport U.S. Marines and sailors with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Peru during a humanitarian assistance and disaster relief exercise off of the coast of Chorrillos Beach near Lima, Peru, Nov. 24, 2018. SPMAGTF-Peru's goal is to demonstrate humanitarian assistance and disaster relief response by bringing together the capabilities of U.S. Marines and sailors aboard the Somerset and Peruvian naval forces as a multinational maritime task force. The integrated mission is part of U.S. Southern Command's Enduring Promise initiative and reflects the United States' enduring promise of friendship, partnership and solidarity with the Americas.
