A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion transports food and water during a humanitarian assistance and disaster relief demonstration between U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Peru and Peruvian naval forces Nov. 24, 2018, near Lima, Peru. SPMAGTF-Peru's goal is to demonstrate humanitarian assistance and disaster relief response, utilizing the capabilities of U.S. Marines and sailors aboard the Somerset and Peruvian naval forces as a multinational maritime task force. The integrated mission is part of U.S. Southern Command's Enduring Promise initiative and reflects the United States' enduring promise of friendship, partnership and solidarity with the Americas.
