Maj. Gen. Cornell A. Wilson, Jr., Commander of Marine Corps Forces, South, speaks with Marines and Sailors of Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, during a visit to Price Barracks in Ladyville, Belize, Dec. 3. The Marines are in Belize as a part of the first Security Cooperation Marine Air-Ground Task Force, where they are participating in military-to-military training events with the Belize Defense Force. The SCMAGTF is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 embarked on USS Wasp (LHD 1). SPS is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
