Ship's Serviceman Seaman Rugin Sardon help prepare .50 cal rounds in preparation for firing of .50 cal weapons system during a firing exercise aboard USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) June 23, 2009. The USS Oak Hill is participating in a combined multinational exercise Southern Partnership Station (SPS) '09. SPS '09 is a combined naval and amphibious operation with Oak Hill and maritime forces from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay. The USS Oak Hill will also support U.S Marine Corps Forces, South multinational combined exercise Southern Exchange 2009 at the Diviso Anfbia and the island of Marambaia, Rio de Janeiro from July 13-31.
