La Fuerza Armada El Salvador Col. Angel Sergio Lima, the director of Centro Regional de Adiestramiento Contra El Crimen Transnacional, shows the field training area just outside of Comando Especial Antiterrorista de la Fuerza Armada base in Ilopongo, El Salvador, to U.S. Marine Maj. David Delvalle, a regional affairs officer with U.S. Marine Corps Forces, South, during a visit Sept. 25, 2019. Delvalle met with the Salvadorian leadership to ensure the partnership remains strong in the region as U.S. Marine units continuously train alongside the Salvadorian forces in the country. He also surveyed and assessed the training area that is able to facilitate U.S. Marine who look to train in the region. Delvalle is a native of Brooklyn, New York.
