Richard Rodriguez, a simultaneous interpreter, translates a lecture on the Marine Corps Planning Process into Spanish so the non-English speaking military officers from South and Central America can follow along in real time during UNITAS-Partnership of the Americas 2012 on Sept. 4. UNITAS-Partnership of the Americas gives the participating multinational troops from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay an opportunity to exercise critical thinking based on realistic scenarios, reinforce essential tactics and techniques and build on a strong foundation of professional cooperation.
