Boatswain's Mate Seaman Patrick Cunningham, a U.S. Navy Riverine from Riverine Squadron (RIVRON 3) Detachment 1 (Det. 1), points out the next location where U.S. Marines attached to Special Purpose Air Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF) and members of the Guatemalan Naval Special Forces will conduct their next subject matter expert exchange (SMEE) in Santo Tomas Dec. 6. The simulation was held with U.S. Marines attached to a Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF) and members of the Guatemalan Naval Special Forces. The Riverines and SPMAGTF Marines are participating in the SMEE exchanges as a part of Amphibious-Southern Partnership Station 2012 (AMPHIB-SPS 12), an annual deployment of U.S. military teams to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.
