A member of the Guatemalan special forces shows U.S. Marines attached to Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force (SPMAGTF) how to purify water by boiling it in prior to adding fish Nov. 28. This subject matter expert exchange (SMEE) on jungle survival tactics was given to show U.S. Marines how Guatemalan special forces survive in the jungle with the absence of traditional packaged food. SPMAGTF is participating in Amphibious-Southern Partnership Station 2012 (AMPHIB-SPS 12), an annual deployment of SMEE teams sent to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility.
