Marine Leaders of The Americas Conference (MLAC) 2025

Gunnery Sgt. Edward Palacios, assigned to the Southern Partnership Station (SPS) marine detachment, exchanges basic land navigation techniques with Dominican Marines assigned to Naval Base 27 de Febrero. Palacios and the marine detachment are aboard the High Speed Vessel (HSV 2) Swift for SPS 2012. SPS is an annual deployment in U.S. Southern Command's Area of responsibility, and focuses on partnering with nations in the Caribbean and Latin America.
