U.S. Marines and Sailors aboard a medium-lift, dual rotor CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM) 774, attached to Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Continuing Promise 2010 (CP10), conduct a site survey via a medium-lift, dual rotor CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM) 774, attached to Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force CP10, in the area of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, Nov. 6, 2010, to gather an understanding of the destruction caused by Hurricane Tomas. If tasked, the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima will ensure safety and effectively conduct humanitarian relief operations so that lives are saved and near-term suffering is minimized in support of the government of Haiti, MINUSTAH and USAID. Service members and civilians are deployed in support of CP10 providing medical, dental, veterinary, engineering assistance and subject-matter exchanges to the Caribbean, Central and South America.
