The Marines were embarked on New Orleans in support of Partnership of the Americas 2010 (POA-10) and Southern Exchange 2010 (SE-10), two separate U.S. Marine Corps Forces, South (MARFORSOUTH) exercises being executed concurrently with partner nation forces from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
