Marine Leaders of The Americas Conference (MLAC) 2025

Lt. Ryan Davis, a dentist, and HM3 Nick Cooper, a hospital corpsman, both with 2nd Dental Battalion, extract a tooth from a student at Garden City Primary School in Belmopan, Belize, Dec. 2. As a part of the Security Cooperation Marine Air-Ground Task Force, the dental echelon has set up a temporary emergent dental care clinic at the school for students and parents. The SCMAGTF is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 embarked on USS Wasp (LHD 1). SPS is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
