Marine Leaders of The Americas Conference (MLAC) 2025

A CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter assigned to the "Iron Horses" of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 461, carrying Marines assigned to the first-ever Security Cooperation Marine Air-Ground Task Force (SCMAGTF) that will perform Theater Security Cooperation exercises with the Belize Defense Force, takes off on the flight deck of the multi-purpose assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) Monday. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 and embarked SCMAGTF. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
