During training foreign naval officers from Peru and Uruguay were given a chance to steer the ship. The Oak Hill is participating in a combined multinational exercise Southern Partnership Station '09. SPS '09 is a combined naval and amphibious operation with Oak Hill and maritime forces from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay.
