NASSAU, Bahamas (March 6, 2009) - Chief Petty Officer Gustavo Tirado, a U.S. Coast Guardsman from Islaverde, Puerto Rico, demonstrates handcuff procedures during 'compliant boarding' training for service members from Dominican Republic Defence Force at the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Base in Coral Harbour. The training, a key element in the combined effort to increase maritime security in the Caribbean Basin, is part of Exercise Tradewinds 2009. Tradewinds '09 is a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff directed, U.S. Southern Command-sponsored annual Maritime Interdiction operations exercise that is conducted in cooperation with Caribbean Basin partner nations.(Photo by Sgt.
